STS 114 - America's return to space in 2005
The July 2005 mission of space shuttle Discovery was one of the most widely covered in NASA history. Only two years earlier, sister ship Columbia exploded during re-entry due to the loss of some insulating foam. Discovery, America's return to space following that tragedy, also lost insulation, this time during take-off, so a good deal of the crew's efforts were devoted to spacewalks for damage repairs. The scheduled delivery of supplies to the International Space Station was accomplished, as well. Discovery's successful return landing received much media coverage.
ST. CLAIR's NASA COLLECTION-Volume 1 has over 10 hours of vintage documentaries on Projects Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Skylab.

Everything that happens AFTER the launch
If you know anyone interested in the space program, they will enjoy this DVD set.
It can be a little boring at times, but overall is a great set and wonderful value.
The set starts with the tragedy of the Columbia crash upon re-re and how that the next mission was dedicated to "getting back to space", and dedicated to that team that was lost.
It shows you the astronauts boarding the ship, one by one, and getting settle into their seats. Communication checks for every single member. My point here is, that this is detailed.
It travels with the launch in real time, to the disengage of the solid rocket boosters, the various speeds it reaches to hit orbit, etc.
This mission has a female commander, so it's also an inspiration for young women also.
The subsequent discs detail their various experiments, tools they use, space walks, etc.
Again, some of this material might be boring to a casual interest person, and the...
NASA STS-114 Post Mission Briefing
This product is basically NASA's post mission briefing video of the July 2005 STS-114 mission of Space Shuttle Discovery, broken up over three DVDs with some additional material inserted in the disks dealing with the Apollo-Soyuz Mission/The Hubble Telescope/and the International Space Station. If you understand this, then you will be fine with it, but I would not expect great things from this video collection.
